The Youth Voices Leadership Team (YVLT) is a diverse collection of young leaders in agriculture selected from our Young Farming Champions (YFC) alumni.
Together, they identify gaps and opportunities to move the (YFC & YVLT) programs forward including suggesting program enhancements, provide recommendations and proposals to the board, develop action plans and implement and measure results.
The team has identified the values which will form the foundation for their decision-making processes and guide them in interactions with each other, their peers, collaborating partners and the community.

the archibull prize
Engages secondary school students in agriculture and sustainability awareness, understanding behaviour change and action through art, design, creativity, teamwork and project development. Aligned to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the program inspires teachers, students, and their communities to become changemakers. Students are connected to young people working in agriculture and over two school terms students design, deliver and report on a Community Action Project. The students create an SDG inspired artwork on a life size fibreglass cow, a community behaviour change project and a digital communication piece articulating the students’ learning journey. An awards ceremony brings hundreds of students together to celebrate the schools’ achievements. The program’s success is due to the collaboration of students, teachers, parents, business and community sustainability and agricultural industry experts. The program’s legacy lives on beyond the project’s lifespan, encouraging long term behaviour change.

Design a Bright Future Challenge
A primary school program using the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and a cache of community experts to assist students on a journey of sustainable living, while building collaborative partnerships with others in the community such as government, business and industry.
Young Farming Champions
Young people working in the agriculture sector are trained, mentored and given skills under the guidance of some of Australia’s top media, consulting and social licence experts. These young people then have the confidence to share their stories with schools, with community, with industry and with government.
Innovation Hub
At Picture you in Agriculture we believe empowered young people have the capacity to solve tomorrow’s problems today. The Innovation Hub is a Young Farming Champions alumni community of practice for individuals and groups to build an innovation mindset, explore new ideas, collaborate, experiment and accelerate learning applied to a real-world project that nurtures a bright future for agriculture.
